The truth is that it's hard work, inspired by a single idea. I want to inspire you to write with these words. On my iphone I wrote this book everyday for one hour, the entire thing. With our technology and a little time. We have the ability to accomplish almost anything. All it takes is to study, understand your surroundings and find what's right for you in what you want to accomplish.
-Philip Darmstaedter
One day I was walking down the road next to Bentley School in beautiful Lafayette California. I saw three older gentleman in a car drive by. It was a yellow jeep and one of them was wearing a felt brown hat. While walking down this road I thought of everyone I had spoken to. I grew inspired, sometimes we see seven cars in traffic and yet, we don't think about the entire lives that people have while they are sitting in their cars. Usually we won't give it a second thought. I want to change that. I want to have people really understand that there are years of lives behind each person sitting in their cars.
Here is a quote from the book that relates to my family and friends and one of the most important turning points in this book.
“You see, life is interesting. Even though we watch over this world in silence and help others. Hats are kind of like an empty canvas. The hat can be formed to be anything you want it to be.”
There are many more people I would like to thank from mental health workers, to the police force who are specially trained to handle homeless who have mental health issues.
